Casaco Marron is a cover version which was originally by Trio Esperanca. ''It's thanks to our man in New York, Jeremy Novak, that we knew this song. And thanks to Sean for sharing the compilation Jeremy had made for him after his shopping spree in Brazil. From what we've been able to work out, the original version of this song was by Evinha, a member of the Trio Esperanca, but other than that we really don't know much. Eduardo, our Brazilian correspondent, says that the original single costs a fortune. Here is Belle and Sebastian version.

This 7" also fearture yet another in the series of spoken word storys by the mighty David Shrigley. "When I was a little girl" is the 3rd in a series of four pieces taken from "bits and bobs' written and performed by Mr Shrigley.

The cover is also designed by David Shrigley himself! These 7"s have become collectors items for the fans of the artists featured so get 'em while they're hot.
